This is real, I had that silly Davy Crockett hat myself.

No wonder women wanted out of the kitchen and into the man's workplace (or so the man thought it was).

Look at this nonsense, some "states" like Utah I feel, still want to behave like this...freaking amazing but it appears to have been a much simpler time (from what I can remember or what folks want others to believe)...enjoy, I sure got a kick from it - back to the future - hahahaha

Maybe not all of our advancements were good for us, you tell me, what you think about this, every see it or live it yourself?

There's a lot that I'm glad has changed since then, but several things on that list, I think would make the country a much better place if we still had. I look back at movies like "American Graffiti", and think how nice it would be to live in a time like that.

The Kennedy Assassination, Vietnam, and the Counterculture Movement changed everything, and not necessarily for the better.

Oh well, I guess it's like Don Henley sang, "Those days are gone forever. I should just let em go..."

A little before my time, but I sure appreciate that time period! I may be a little naive here, but I've always looked at the 40's, 50's and early 60's to be an overall innocent time and when things were simple. I have some movies made from that era (ie. 12 O'clock High, 633 Squadron, etc) and although not representative of life back then, they certainly showed, to a degree, the class and quality of people back then and how they view things.

In contrast, I grew up at the end of the Woodstock legacy (stoners and free love crap), when people thought parachute pants and bell bottoms looked cool(!?!?!), and Saturday Night Fever was king! Rolling Eyes
