CW,

Something tells me we could potentially get a little slurred in our posts after all the mutual cheers this exchange could involve!

I'd just have to accept your beg to differ and raise you one, as far as I interpret it. It's obviously classified stuff, but technically, the public claims at least would give that F-16I configuration in the possible ballpark of about 200nm greater radius than a clean F-35A?

Hence the smarta$$ response I left about F-35 actually needing bags, plus two external sidewinders to more accurately equal the F-16I as portrayed! Cheers

Cheers back Cheers . Its just nice to have good rhetorical conversation w/out the sarcasim. And yes, classified is classified. Just making an educated guess based on what I see. Nothing wrong with getting a little slurred when posting. Keeps me sane when I see some of the posts here!! Man I miss Europe...... had a lot of fun in Holland and Norway working F-16's. Range aside, I would have to choose the F-35. Too many advantages vs. range!!

Lockheed's F-16 remains popular even as company focuses on F-35

Sweet news on USA thinking about additional Vipers ... I'm telling you, CFTs can be used for other things besides Gas! You can interface a whole load of secret Squirrel Stuff in there! Thumb

Hey what do you know ... ACC is thinking:

Time for a split … F-22/35.net should have its own site.

Aye aye sir, we'll work on it.

Anyone cares to volunteer on those new websites? We could for sure use some hands like people for content creation, graphical design,... or some one to massage our shoulders to prevent RSI...

Seriously, if you think you can help, just contact us.

On the F-16 pic what is hanging on the airplane directly underneath the fuselage? I recognize whats on the wings but underneath I don't know. Sorry for the stupid question...(kinda embarrassing...don't laugh-I know one must be a Lantrin or Sniper pod? but the others????)

Yup,

That’s a brilliant photo cywolf32 posted.

I think the centerline store is a genuine Sergeant Fletcher 300 gallon centerline. However the shading on the nose of the tank (due to all the toys hanging off this thing) gives it a different appearance.

I also noticed this specimen is a test jet because of the vanes on the pitot probe.

It could be a test pod of some sort because it’s real easy to get wiring down to station 5.

Man … I drool every time I see that picture!
