Meathook,
The collection is still rather anemic - it really needs a shotgun at least This being Nevada, I really wouldn't mind a Browning Automatic Rifle along with a full auto MP5 - the integrally suppressed version I also saw a 105mm howitzer for sale a while back...
Now, if you really like the collection, I might consider trading for one of the cars
Now about that Porsche - I'd take one in a heartbeat and yes, the carrot is obtainable
Of course, I wouldn't mind one of these either:
Lamborghini Reventon - only 20 ever made - $800,000 - Click the image
TC,
Yes, it snows here sometimes. What really twists your mind in knots is thinking that it was 126 degrees in July and then it was 36 degrees in December, and just back on June 6 it was 77 degrees, partly sunny, and I got rained on while shooting in the desert
If you like the girls in what someone decided was a bathing suit (and I have NO intention of telling them otherwise), check out some of the pools around Vegas in the summertime - especially the Hard Rock Heck, a few of the pools only require them to wear half of the bikini
One of the things I do when I'm bored is go out and take pictures for the blog Here's a few recent examples - click for full size
Mt. Charleston seen from Indian Springs
Driving back to town from Indian Springs
30 June 2009 - 95 and sunny in the valley, but 45 degrees with light rain on Mt. Charleston
And it was a girl driving
Then there's the geotagging I decided to learn about. Click here to see how my pictures show up on a custom Google Map
I've also been delving into a bit of video and videos made from photos:
Supersonic Driving - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KC8aatOd-jo
Taken 9 May 2009 - Las Vegas Welcome Sign to my part of town - Camera set to one frame per second

Trip up Mt. Charleston
The original posts have all the pictures in the YouTube slideshows and they're clickable for full size
Oh yeah, I've been doing a few panoramas as well:
Desert overlook from Mt. Charleston
Out in the desert near Indian Springs
Click on the panoramas for full size, too. Be warned, the second one is 10MB at full size
Here's hopin' y'all liked 'em
Have fun |

I have driven the Caymen, it's the most "neutral" feel I've ever experienced. Took a 35 at over 80 and felt no response from the car, it just drove through the turn. It actually scared me, I didn't know if I was pushing it or if I still had room to spare. Absolutely no response, no tire squeal, understeer, or oversteer... nothing. I think I have to drive it more to learn the car. Got on the freeway and nailed the gas, didn't feel that fast until I looked in the rearview mirror, the car that got on with me was a dot WAY back there. My vote is buy it, tell me what you think of the drive
Parrothead:
A family member owns this gun
He rents it out to Hollywood, and yes it does fire live ammo, just not in the movies. It hangs over his china cabinet in the living room. He also has a mount for it on his old Toyota Landcruiser. |

Nice pic up there Parrothead, but honestly, I've never been a huge Lambo fan. I'm a Ferrari kinda guy.
Very nice Minigun! I want to shoot it! |

| I want to shoot it too, I've actually never met the guy (step-moms cousin?). He worked for RAND and holds the patent on LIDAR, I guess he has enough money for cool toys and apparently holding the patent on LIDAR and a couple PhD's to boot can help get you out of speeding tickets... or so he says. |

Apparently, during the filming of Predator, Jesse Ventura, Bill Duke, and Arnie were the only guys on the set strong enough to lug that thing around.
That Minigun used for Predator was the very same one which was used 4 years later in Terminator 2.
I just love the part in T2, when the Terminator finds the Minigun in the underground weapons cache...he holds it up, and John Connor says "That's definitely YOU." |

| I heard that too, if I ever meet him I'll definitely ask. My dad was talking to him and he said he needs to let the FBI know whenever it is going to be transported. Supposedly there is video of him with it mounted on his Land Cruiser lighting up a barn on his property, I think I have to see it before quoting it as fact though (I heard from somebody who said this one guy...). I doubt he can whip it out and pop of a couple thousand rounds whenever he wants. |

Thanks guys!
Meathook - The Porsche would actually be better in my opinion - it's livable
TC - I'm more of a Ferrari guy myself most of the time, but this Lambo is cheaper than the Ferraris I want
tank_top - That is one sweet piece of machinery I'd love to have one, but I couldn't afford to feed it
I've looked into the legalities of owning something that falls under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (machineguns, silencers, etc.) and the way I understand it is that once you've got the tax stamp on the Form 4, you can play with your toys anytime you want to. You do have to file a form and get permission from the BATFE to transport it across state lines.
Any more info you've got would be great |
