I can't be much 'cause I'm in the same boat, figuring out what is going on but I read this on another thread and thought you might like this info.
A good buddy of mine from ROTC had non-qualifying vision, went and got PRK, got his slot and just recieved a Viper last friday at his assignment night. So I'll tell you it is possible. I don't know the details, but you might want to write to a local AFROTC UAO (unit admissions officer) and see if they can dig up the vision requirements (i.e. how bad can your eyesight be and still qualify for PRK/pilot slot). Hopefully it's a possibility for you.
That'd be step one. Then just keep doing what your doing and work hard in college and you should have no problem getting a slot. Lemme know if you have any more ROTC/pilot slot/UPT/etc questions.
