Sorry to be so clueless, but I have patches and want to know how you guys get such good-quality shots of them. I've shot some with my flash and they look really bad. Any tips for getting good, consistent quality in your patch photos?

Do some of you guys use a photo tent or something or do you go outdoors to shoot them? Do you also use a tripod to keep the camera a uniform distance from them?

Thanks for your help!

Use a flatbed scanner, that works a lot better

LOL! I can't believe that never occurred to me! Although I don't own a scanner, I do have access to one. All this time I was fiddling with my camera, wondering why I couldn't get very good-looking patch shots!

Thanks!

If your planning to post any to this site, make sure there scanned on a white background. Easy way is to place a sheet of paper over the patch, just before your close the scanner lid.
