Are you sure you want to fly in that -106. looks pretty beat up to me, maybe I should go, you're too valuable to lose, TEG. Who else would educate the board on engines?

I'm not saying Gums is a bad pilot--I'm sure he's an excellent pilot, just the plane looks like it's about had it.

This happens every time, my wi-fi crashes and I miss out on something great....

I know the J75, hell-of-a motor...

And if GUMS can fly/land a PW-200 after sucking a slab of ice; I'll ride shotgun with him.

I was reading in the text that in one particular test that Dart was hit over 70 times! Shocked Now that's a jet!

Since the aircraft is hydraulic (not electric) and the engine has a hydro-mechanical fuel control (not FADEC) I'm sure we'd be okay! Cool

Keep 'em flyin' Thumb

Sure, I'll take your word on the J75, but once it ingests enough water, I hope the 106 is a good glider.

Enjoy the ride, then

I'll wait until I can go up in a Viper anyway, I don't know when that will ever happen though--probably never.

Water wouldn't kill the J75. She was a "waterburner" anyhow! Wink Jet engines are hard to kill with water.

Now she's no GE90 but watch this (1:45-1:55) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faDWFwDy8-U

Or this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faDWFwDy8-U

I'd still be more worried about LARGE hail. Shocked
