| I thought we had it bad pay wise today, Oh my God....fifty (50) years ago must have been much simpler and cheaper to live for sure |

Hell, even a 2009 Airman Basic makes more in base pay than a 30 year CWO-4 in 1958. I make more in flight pay per month than a Chief in 1958 who had met all of his gates.
Unreal. Hard to think how times have changed. Then again, a gallon of milk cost more than a gallon of gas did back in 1958!  |

Boy Does that bring back memories!!!!!!!!!
When I started my Air Force Career as an airmen last class in 55 the base pay was $68 per month.
And then when I retired in 87 as an O-6 the base was $53 grand and NOW LOOK AT IT!!!!!!
