I had the honor of spending a few days with these guys down at Eglin several months ago. An excellent group of folks who do some fascinating things.

Enjoy the pictures.

Jake

Jake,
Awesome pics! Sorry about not getting you up here for a flight, maybe another time if you ever want to make the trek again. Another photographer was chosen for the shots. Ted Carlson. Also, they got Steve Davies up here as well. Don't worry, a couple of screwups required rescheduling the photographer, so it was a headache.

No, don't sweat it, Mean. I appeciate being invited to fly with you guys, even though the timing didn't work out. I'll be up there again in the Springtime, so maybe we can try again then.

Take care,

Jake

Jake, are you a civilian or AF photographer? Great pics! Do you have a book/hard copy of your article on the 85th that is online? I would like to get it. I got a ride with Boomer (Sq. Commander) in tail -847 (its in some of your pics) last year with the [Link pending approval] some great pics. They are a great bunch of guys!

I'm a civilian photographer.

The article on my website is an excerpt from a book that is due for release in about two months. It can be seen at www.reidairpublishing.com/RAP05.html.

Boomer is an awesome dude. Very, very cool guy, as are the rest of the folks in the 85th.

Jake
