All,

Can anyone tell me where the manufacturers data plate is located on an F-16 please? For example, if you were stood alongside an F-16 that had no markings (tail number etc) on it, which panel can you open to find out which particular airframe it is?

Regards

Mark

The data plate is mounted just aft of the pilots left shoulder in the cockpit.

Thanks Racer181. What if you can't get to look in the cockpit?

Some units stencil the acft tail number on all the -21 equipment (covers and safety pins).

To be concise, some Taiwanese and I are "having fun" with looking for the C/N (construction number) plates on the retired Taiwanese F-104s displayed in public in Taiwan.
http://www.i-f-s.nl/index87.htm

I checked the Scramble/Dutch Aviation Society site for clues WRT the F-104 and other aircraft that the ROCAF operated/operates (F-5, F-86, Mirage 2000, T-33, &c), and noticed the Scramble list for Lockheed at
http://wiki.scramble.nl/index.php/Const ... 9#Lockheed
doesn't seem to include the F-16.

Does anyone here have descriptions and photos of where the C/N plates are in or on a F-16?

I read the other thread at
http://www.f-16.net/index.php?name=PNph ... p;p=200845
and it doesn't help much.
