Helllo Everyone,
This is my first post i just want to say hello to everyone on F16 net.
For my first post i found this on Ebay (UK website) the current offer for it is £3.2 million or $6.4 million us approximatly.
The people selling it have taken all the goodies out so no radar or weapons.

| I bet maintanance would be equall to if not more than the price of the plane annually, of course nobody without a rediciulous amount of money would buy one. Maybe John Travolta. I have logged about 5 hours in a cesna so I wouldn't have a clue, but how would a civilian go about getting certified for supersonic flight? I didn't see that offered at Bucchanon Field... LOL. What are the laws about going going supersonic, and do you think the AF would get nervous seeing a Mig-29 comming into SFO? |

there's a guy based at Quincy AP in IL that's got a few Fulcrums, but the FAA took the Russkie avionics out, so they're grounded.
Boeing offered him the pack for the Eagle, but he declined, too much work to adapt prolly. |

| I'm sure you could get some other avionics put in, but getting FAA to certify them for flight in the US may be tough. About the only thing you would really get out of it is bragging rights. |

Here's a link to a story on the guy:
http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.10/kirlin_pr.html
He also owns a few Lavochkin planes--the same type they used in the James Bond Movie.
You can also see the MiGs on Live Search Maps, look for Quincy Regional Airport, they're on the tarmac, two Fulcrums |

| I'll tell you, to maintain a Jet aircraft it is costly, i was thinking about getting a L-39 Albatros but the thing cost 350 dollars a hour of flight for fuel, additional license costs, maintenance costs etc. |

$350/hr to fl a jet? That's actually pretty cheap.
Company up in Lemoore, CA just bought four MiG-29UBs to be used for high speed chase. Zero-time refurbs. |
