With tonight being wall to wall election coverage, me and the little lady usually just cuddle up on the couch and watch the results come in. However due to the fact that my man McCain may have his last hurrah tonight my suggestion is to cuddle up with someone close and toast 3 shots of the Weed to show respect to an old fighter jock as he tries to win the biggest job in the land. I just picked up a bottle at my favorite booze shop and will crack it open just after the polls close.

I'm staying at home tonight. I figure that staying on base will be a lot safer than being downtown in case too many people have hard feelings over what happens.

It will not surprise me at all if there are several arrests tonight for disorderly behavior, no matter who wins.

I spent the most of the day clinging to my guns and religion while I still have some constitutional rights. I listen to conservative talk radio, before it’s possibly outlawed. Later I watched TV and use the computer to enjoy cheap coal-fired electricity while I could. I figure I need a good rest tonight so I can start advocating for impeachment tomorrow.

Earlier I almost induced a large crowd of liberals into having a stroke by calling them fascists. Their veins really popped out of their forehead when I called them liars for claiming there wasn’t any WMDs in Iraq. I told them that they were such pathological liars that they would probably try to tell soldiers that served in Iraq or our allies that had SCUD missiles fired at them, or the soldiers that got sick after being exposed to chemical weapons that were being used as IEDs; “that there wasn’t any WMDs in Iraq”.

The “civilized” liberals were having a conniption fit and acted like they were going to form a lynch mob for me.

The liberal hypocrisy is status quo. They think it’s all right to slander and incite people by calling them racists, fascists, Nazis, etc…; however if you try to use the same words against them in the proper and honest context, they rupture a gasket.

watchin FOX News, and the liberal media just cut the signal from Grant Park.
WTF is going on, he hasn't gotten the 270, and he's already shutting down the conservative media.

While in some ways I was joking by being a little dramatic; the core of the issue is true.

I fear there may be some movements to remove all opposition/criticism. Conservative radio and Fox is already under attack. Misleading legislation like the “fairness doctrine” is being proposed to selectively/unfairly; attack, suppress, and subvert conservative views.

"Fairness Doctrine" = Unfair = censorship

It wasn’t my veins that was popping out of my forehead when I tried to shed some facts on a group of liberals today. They were having a good old time (figuratively) beating up on Republicans calling them racist, fascist, Nazis, etc… and claiming that there wasn’t any WMDs. But I ruined their little one-sided hate party by injecting some facts and reason that was contrary to their view/slander; I could see many faces turning red and veins popping out and even a few fists cuffing. I have little doubt that if they thought they could get away with it, they would have been violent. There were authorities present and it was being filmed by security cameras. I would love to have that security tape to show how they were talking and how they responded to the truth.

AFTS, glad someone here feels as strongly as I do. People may think some of us are a bit paranoid, but we now have no checks and balances that were put in the constitution for this very reason. No one person or group of people is supposed to have absolute power. Now, the socialists of the country do. The sun will come up tommorrow, but after Jan 20th, not sure how long this country will be around. I'm shocked that there are so few people left in this country that have a clue. So many people bought his endless lines of B.S. it makes me sick. Tonight I will be clinging to my guns and religion just a little bit tighter. They won't be around much longer.

Maybe I should switch to decaf, but I'm all out and the only other thing I have is a bottle of Pyrat rum which I have yet to touch tonight. I'm with Crash here.

No fooling, I'm seriously nauseous. Aside from the reports of repeat voting (both same day and absentee in one state and in person in another), I just about burst a blood vessel somewhere when the media called Nevada for Obama even with ZERO percent reporting. I don't care if they turn out to be right, it's still Bravo Sierra.

After I finish cleaning up my room and such, I plan to pull out my AK-47 for a thorough cleaning. Then the M-44. Followed by my 1928 91/30. After that, the K-31. And the Steyr. Of course, the 9mm will come out for attention as well as the Marlin Model 60. No, I'm not planning on using them for anything but target shooting or home defense (the 9mm, not the others). I'm just worried about how long I'll be ALLOWED to have them. You see, the AK-47 is an AK-47 even if it's semi-auto, the Marlin is a .22, but it's semi-auto. The rest of the rifles are all military weapons and the 9mm is not only a handgun but a semi-auto handgun. I just hope I get my AR-15 before the ban which will surely come.

I'm trying to figure out how to get a classic Corvette soon so I know how it is to drive one on a regular basis before it's no longer feasible.

I know what it is to be an expatriate to some extent. I was born, raised, and lived in California for almost 28 years. I miss the ocean, the beach, La Jolla, and summers where 85 degrees was considered a heat wave. I don't miss the ridiculous taxes, politics, and policies. I especially don't miss a legislature in constant session where "ghost voting" is the norm. I'm seriously considering expatriating, at least for a while. Trouble is I don't know where I'd go.

I'm looking forward to Aviation Nation this weekend at Nellis. I fear this might be the best year we'll have for a long time.

I fear we may be coming to a crossroads if we haven't already passed it. I fear that the whole "living document" idea has gained too much ground or is too far over the edge - pick your metaphor. If the need exists to change the document, the means have been provided and have historically been used - amendments.

We've left the Constitution behind in so many ways already. The Federal Government is reaching into the affairs of the States in ways which should never have been tolerated. Why should the federal government have a say in local schools? Why should the feds have a say if I want to make my own solid rocket fuel if it's not transported across state lines? Why is this not a state, county, or local matter? Why do I need a state license to drive a car, but a federal license to fly a plane? What business of the Federal Government is it if I want to distill my own liquor to consume in my own state, county, and city? Heck, that's only Tenth Amendment stuff. I could go on, but I'll save you the need for the pink liquid.

I could go on about the Constitution in general, such as where does the Federal Government get the idea that they have the right to take my tax money and give it to someone in another state? Where do they get the idea that they should have any say in the content of the media ("fairness doctrine")? Where do they get the authority to have any say in health care?

So what am I going to do tonight? I'm going to go clean up for tomorrow, clean up my room, try not to puke, clean some guns, blog, clean more guns, and have a shot or two of rum before continuing my contemplation of expatriation until I pass out.

I think Pink Floyd hit the nail on the head regarding my state of mind tonight:

Didn't this all occur BEFORE this election? Under PREVIOUS administrations?

Possibly under ones you were more partial to.

Well, it was a tough night for me and the family. You see we are "rich" as defined by Obama-Biden, that is our household income is over $150,00 per year, but that income comes from many different sources, so now I have to start finding ways to hide more of my income from Barry and his boys. My wife is a nurse working on her masters degree with the hope of someday soon starting her own small clinic, but that dream may soon be pointless. Why would we want to put all that money and effort out into an industry that Barry and his pack of morons is just going to completely take over ASAP and turn into a socialist nightmare just like all the others. Hopefully they will keep the tax advantages intact for real estate and I can just increase my investment in that area to make up for my income taxes going through the roof.
To all who voted for Obama, you won it's just that simple, I am as gracious a loser as I am a winner. But now the real work for you begins, you got your boys elected, now your clock starts, you have about 2 years to turn things around before we start this whole process over again. For the good of the country I hope you suceed, but I really have my doubts.
As Captain McCain was giving his concession speech I poured two glasses of Weed, one for me and one for the wife. We both stood up, gave a smart salute and toasted a shot to a great man who has served his country for almost 60 years.

God speed Mr. McCain, this country could have used you.

Maybe some happened under the previous administration, but the economic crisis goes back to Clinton for the most part and the rest goes back to Carter. George H.W, Bysg dudb't start the Gulf War on his own, he was following the Carter Doctrine--even though it wasn't the USSR, it still would have been a threat--and then the liberals turn around and blame him for following a liberal doctrine. That doesn't seem right.

yeah, the same one that spent more time with Monica than running the country, if he had run the country, maybe we wouldn't be in a financial FUBAR
