If it doesn't have a name, someone needs to christen this particular C-5..."Linda Lovelace" |

Linda Lovelace. Nice!
This airframe is most likely going to the Enlisted Aviation Center for Excellence at Lackland-Medina. I was one of the last Enlisted Aircrew Undergraduate Course classes to go through, and then still have to follow on to Altus for the remainder of training. Now all Enlisted Aircrew Members will go through all of their training at Medina, except for SERE and their follow on weapon system training.
By the way, the C-5 probably got everything loaded, and then suffered a Hydraulic leak or a pressurization problem, and had to sit until an MRT could come up from Dover to fix it.

| M model? Never heard of that one. Hell, the AF is lucky to have received the 2 C models that they did! C-5 ops is decreasing all of the time. Less and less active positions for -5 crews. More, however, if you want to go WVA, Tenn., or Mass ANG. Plus, these days, we're contracting out a lot more of our out-sized loads to the Russians. The Condors are a very valuable asset to have right now. |

| Yes, Outlaw, you are correct. NYANG does fly -5s. The other Reserve component units are at Dover and Travis, which are there, along with their active squadrons. |

There are several units, both active and ANG, that fly Galaxies with the new cockpit (which is wicked cosmic! ), but the re-engined models have yet to be fielded anywhere, AFAIK. ICBW, STIWAGOS. |

Mass ANG.
The only airframe MA ANG flies is the F-15 at Barnes. Westover is a Reserve base - they fly C-5's. |

Ah, yes, AFRC, not ANG. Thank you for the correction ATC. However, it is C-5s, and again:

I've seen the nickname "Linda Lovelace" listed for the C-5 on lists before but not for that ability. It was on it because "everytime it kneels it blows something". |

Now when they stick an Apache or something in there, it'll be like:

No, that would be 2 Apaches on a C-17! In that scenario, Loadies don't do their "walk around" so much as you do a "CRAWL around".
By the way, that hallway looks like my decrepit @$$ dorm from Altus. What a $h!thole...The entire base, that is. |

Hey.... I spent 3 years at Altus and it was great. Granted, I was ages 7 thru 10 without a care in the world, but I still liked it. Spent a lot of time playing in the creek running down the middle of housing. |
