A newly preserved Block 10 model #79-0326 at Homestead ARB
Airmen from the 482nd Maintenance Group and contractors from Satellite Services Inc., transport F-16A block 10 #79-0326 static display wearing squadron markings for the 93rd FS to the Homestead ARB front gate on July 15th, 2008.
Airmen from the 482nd Maintenance Group mount F-16A block 10 #79-0326 static display at the Homestead ARB front gate on July 15th, 2008. After more than 10 months of planning, fabricating and painting, the F-16 sits proudly across from the F-4 Phantom static display, making an impressive entry into the base. |

Sorry about the delay. I asked the VI dept if they would take a pic of ACFT 723 at the SDANG. I will check with them tomorrow and send it if it is available. If not, it will have to wait until I get back from the desert. |

To the Editors:
This is a really cool forum, I think you should add a section in the Photo Gallery which would be dedicated just to these preserved aircraft, or maybe a seperate section under the AMARC area.
Your thoughts?
Thanks

Input is always welcome, thank you. We are already on the ball on that one though. It is part of the F-16 Aircraft Database:
http://www.f-16.net/f-16_preserved.html
Other things in the database:
Mishaps
Nose art
Special paint schemes
Named aircraft
Mission markings
AMARC (stored aircraft)
Thunderbirds
Aggressors
Unit markings (aka boss birds)
Check it out, the database is quite extensive:

Agreed Gamera, in fact we have been working the issue. I bet a within a years period we will have an F-2 database. Too much to get into, but the F-16 database was designed for the F-16 only. It transferred well to the F-22 so we have that database up and going. But there were issues that needed to be resolved for the F-2 database. We know have a solution but we need to test it. We hope to test it in the coming months.
Thank you Gamera, your feedback is appreciated.

As a Chinese, I don't usually, eh, struggle for the cause of the JASDF, FS-X, or F-2.
OTOH, as this site is the ultimate F-16 fan site (self-proclaimed), and I seem to be one of the rare members (yeah, the both of us) who regularly (read: obnoxiously) update F-2 news, the F-2 aspect is apparently one frontier of this site that can and will be expanded and explored.
To quote an ancient Chinese proverb (probably by the Emperor of the Qin Dynasty, who linked up the Great Wall), "If you build it, they will come."
Seriously, and on-topic, when this site has a gallery for F-2 photos, then there must be busloads of members out there (read: over there in Japan), who have busloads of FS-X and F-2 photos (preferably with cute gravure models), such as taken by ground crew stationed or stationing at Misawa AB.
"Dream on, dude." |

Sheppard AFB took one of their F-16s and put it on display on the parade grounds. We now have a photo of this aircraft on display.
USAF F-16A block 10 #80-0481 preserved at Sheppard AFB. This aircraft is on the parade route and no longer used to train ground crew. |
