Godspeed to the pilot, my condolences to his family and friends.

Any other news on the airframe serial?

Here is the Petra official release

Amman, April 20, (Petra) A military pilot was killed when his military aircraft F-16 developed a technical failure and crashed on Sunday afternoon, a military source stated Sunday.

Pilot Hamzah Samir Odeh Al-Abbadi was killed when the plane crashed at 1:15 pm while conducting a routine training flight in an area specialized for training, the source said.

My condolences to his family, friends, and brothers in arms.

May God bless his soul and my deepest sympathies to his family. Jordan lost a hawk, but he did not go in vain, god bless his soul

AMMAN: A Jordanian Air Force pilot was killed on Sunday when his US-manufactured F-16 fighter crashed during a routine training mission, a military spokesman said. "Hamzah Abbadi died when the Royal Air Force F-16 fighter crashed at 1015 GMT during training," the spokesman said in a statement without elaborating. In January, the military said four pilots died in two similar accidents. - AFP

Jordan blames technical flaws for all 3 F-16 crashes this year

AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Air Force has suffered the third in a series of crashes by its U.S.-origin fighter-jet.

At least three F-16 multi-role fighters have crashed in Jordan in 2008. In all the crashes, the air force said it suspected technical faults.

On Sunday, the air force reported the latest F-16 crash, in which a pilot was killed. A military spokesman said the F-16 crashed during a routine training mission.

"Hamzah Abbadi died when the Royal Air Force F-16 fighter crashed at 1015 GMT during training," an air force statement said.

In January 2008, two F-16s crashed in training missions in Jordan. The air force, which plans to expand its F-16 fleet to 70, reported the killing of four pilots.

Jordan has a fleet of about 50 F-16A/B fighters. Most of the fighters were supplied by the United States over the last decade.

In 2007, Jordan concluded deals for more than a dozen F-16s with Belgium and the Netherlands. Unlike the U.S. surplus aircraft, the European F-16s had undergone a mid-life upgrade by Lockheed Martin.

All of that suggest the two other Jordanian Vipers which crashed in January 2008 were double-seaters!

A/C S/N from Sunday is 80-0582 (RJAF 224). Someone has their wires crossed as the RJAF has not lost any other F-16s except for the landing incident write off of A/C 229 several years back. I believe that the actual A/C referenced is the F-1 which is also based at MSAB.

The crossed wire must be that this was the third RJAF crash:

24 Feb 1999: unknown F-16B near Jafr, one killed one ejected
01 Sep 2002: 229 F-16A ADF 61-353/M13-10 no details
20 Apr 2008: 224 F-16A ADF 61-303/M13-5

You have bad information. The RJAF has lost 2 A/C, 224 & 229, and one pilot since the receipt of the A/C beginning in December 1997.
