That microwave post is hilarious. Isn't it amazing how fast we get accustomed to the speed technology provides? When I went into the Air Force "internet" was not even a word anyone used yet now we can't live without it. It's good to be able to communicate instantly with people half a world away you don't even know nor would know had it not been for this system. (I'm trying really hard not to put an Al Gore joke in this post.) Twisted Evil

I know and agree, remember the first cell phones, looked like a brick...damn we are spoiled, I know I am. Who knew (like you stated) computers would become so interactive with our lives.

When I came in (69)...the USAF was happy if you could form a complete sentence...remember the MARS stations, Autovon...man, the world changed, everything has to be right now...guess I am guilty of that myself...spoiled I guess, no more patience for slow things...shame in a way but it is now a very fast paced world (so lets get this damned thing working faster) Smile.

Damn, MARS Station, now that's a term I have not heard in a long long time.

We've been working on the site's responsiveness for the past months. About 1 month ago, we moved to a faster server, and since then the site has been pretty fast.

I wanted to monitor the site for a while before announcing that we "fixed" this problem, but since the site's been working fast for me in the past weeks I'm confident we actually did fix it Smile

I took us a while as we tried various approaches to speed up things, but we only got marginal gains. In the end, moving to a faster server was the only way to get a noticeable improvement.

If you notice the site slowing down again, please let me know.
