I'm a rookie at LM, Fort Worth. I'm an engineer supporting the F-35 production line. I graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in aero engr in '07.

All I have to say is keep faith in your defense contractors, they work very hard for the people.

Agreed!

I work with a lot of DOD contractors and the engineering managers that use them. These guys definitely work very hard on the projects at hand. We're lucky as a country to have so many brilliant engineers to make these ideas a reality.

Aggie, what aspect of aero engineering are you doing?

What do you say to an Aggie five years later?

Yes, Boss.

Aggie,
All my best to you. I can tell by your posts that you are really inspired in what you do, and that is something everyone hopes for in a career. I'm an information hog, so keep up the posts!! I'm a third generation AF brat and vet. My grandfather flew on the B-17 "Piccadilly Lilly" in WWII, I have his dog tag as my key chain. My father was a jet engine mech on F-4's and F-111's in Vietnam. I myself was an F-16 CC in the USAF and Defense Contractor on F-16 MLU's for Holland and Norway from 2000-2004. I can truely say I am honored and priviledged to have followed my family heritage. I got a chance to help LM in Holland setting up the F-35 mock-up for the Airshow at AB Volkel. I sat in the mock-up and was very impressed by the space and canopy layout (forward opening) vs. the F-16. Size wise very similar but so different. Met my old Base Commander there by the way. General (Ret.) Latham was there as a sales rep for LM in Europe. SMALL WORLD. All the best!!!
