The seat is very comfortable but due to its 30 degrees angle but it causes problems in the neck during heavy maneuvering.A lot of my partners viper riders that are experienced, have to deal with problems in the neck and back. This happens (especially at tall pilots) because when they fly their neck is exposed to g forces due to reclined seat and due to they have to look straight ahead and not lying over the seat.a good technique is when to pull Gs is too try to have your back and neck head in a straight line to avoid to expose the gs to your neck.

My narrow little a$$ fit in it fine, after awhile, I felt the need to try and stretch but that is normal, I thought it was alright (for the limited times I flew in the aircraft).

The seat is fine for long non combat missions but when you are actually flying the "Viper" to kill....... then you lean forward thus creating G-strain on your neck and back looking through the HUD......check it out.......ask a Viper driver if it's not true..!

Yes, I've suffered from the "G" capability of the mighty mighty Viper......as I got older I found out I didn't have to pull 9 G's to win....

Very comfortable on tow jobs, fell asleep several times on those marathon tow jobs at MacDill
Oh How I can agree with that one, that darned seat was comfortable, except on days with high humidity wind blowing like crazy and having to close the canopy...
As well as In Misawa going from the A-Frame to the ramp.
A few times I even almost fell asleep in the winter time with the -60 hooked up to the ECS, running Ops Checks...
But I never did...
Joe Sambor would have had my hide if I had...
