I believe some of the MI ANG maintenance folks at Selfridge use R/C aircraft prior to flying ops as part of their BASH (Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard)program. They use the R/C planes to scare away the water fowl and gulls.
Sounds like an additional duty that is actually fun!
I believe they even get the R/C fuel paid for by the base? (Can anyone confirm?) |
