I believe it was an Israeli F-16. Most of one wing was supposed to have been lost in a training midair. Pilot was able to control and land it higher than normal land speed.
I saw an article with pictures online some time back. I can't find the item again. Can anyone point me to the article? |

Though it was not leonardt's intention and doesn't really fit the subject topic, but since we're on the topic, RSAF #880 landed with 1/3 of the starboard wing (up to station 8 lost) after collided with #883 at South China Sea.

It was an Israeli F-15D (# 957).
