Insulting? Get over yourself dude. In what way was my PM insulting? You must have some info on normal flightline security that everyone else in the Air Force (SP's included) don't know about.

Think this is new, the 2 shapes lost near Tybee Island, Ga back in the 50's or 60's comes to mind. The AF says the warheads were not in them and many say that they were, people are still looking for them.

There was a special recently on cable (History, Military, etc.?) about that incident recently. A retired AF officer and a Marine EOD type are spending their own time and money trying to find the Tybee nuke(s). They have what I consider unjustified fears about the bombs, but maybe they can find and alert the AF to recover them. The show had a hand receipt showing no "physics package" installed, IIRC. The B-47 pilot was interviewed and said he jettisoned the bombs after a mid-air with an F-86 so that he could make a safe emergency landing on the runway at Hunter AFB (now AAF). The runway was being rebuilt and had a bad dropoff that he didn't want to risk with nukes on board.
