I believe thats the Carapace system, not sure what it does but i remember seeing another pic of it somewhere on this site, and yeah that pilot is hot

Indeed ,it's part of the Carapace ECM system.

To answer both of your questions Smile

One: is the forward facing antenna of the CARAPACE ECM system that is installed on Belgian F-16s. Enough history about that project is to be found on this site and others.

Two: she is <a href="index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=88662#88662">Karen Vandenbroucke</a>. She was a 2nd Lieutenant (Onderluitenant (Dutch/Flemish), Sous-Lieutenant (French)) at the time of the picture. She graduated from the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) in 2003 becoming only the second female Belgian F-16 pilot.

BTW, the cranial stuffed between the intake & fuselage kinda looks like the ones the Navy uses. Confused

We used them on F-111's at UH ... saved my head a million times

I see you noticed that F-16 rule number 1 was broken ... You put nothing on top of the Intake Lip Big No No
