| I believe thats the Carapace system, not sure what it does but i remember seeing another pic of it somewhere on this site, and yeah that pilot is hot |

To answer both of your questions
One: is the forward facing antenna of the CARAPACE ECM system that is installed on Belgian F-16s. Enough history about that project is to be found on this site and others.
Two: she is <a href="index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=88662#88662">Karen Vandenbroucke</a>. She was a 2nd Lieutenant (Onderluitenant (Dutch/Flemish), Sous-Lieutenant (French)) at the time of the picture. She graduated from the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) in 2003 becoming only the second female Belgian F-16 pilot.

BTW, the cranial stuffed between the intake & fuselage kinda looks like the ones the Navy uses.  |

We used them on F-111's at UH ... saved my head a million times
