If there were a race between Los Angeles and London between the fastest aircraft, what do you think the finishing order would be? I think the order would be:
5. Concorde
4. B-58
3. TSR.2
2. XB-70
1. SR-71

SR-71 hands down, its fastest speeds were never truly reviled...I'd place my bucks there!

That`s a trick question because they would all have to refuel! The distance is 5,463 miles. The winner would be the XB-70 I think (if it could sustain M3 all the way.), with an unrefueled range of about 4,400 Nm. An SR-71 would have to take on fuel too many times.

The Concorde would have to land to refuel. Not even sure if the XB had IFR capability.
