hi DeepSpace,
I have tried to make yet another attempt on the net. Ironically, the returns for the keywords of FLIR viewer are mainly for the armored fighting vehicles (M1 and M2). I am begaining to believe that, the term is associated better with the land system.
I am sure there are many experts of the Attack Avionic on this forum. If this has not caught their attentions, it must be something classified or less than interesting worths mentioning. Hence I guess I will shelve my curiosity, before it gets my cat.  Nonetheless, if I managed to find it, you will be the first to know.

thanks for the response to this thread again.  My search have ventured to some Chinese sites. No new information other than the direct translation; "for Target Designation". But I still believe the mention of the direction of weapon and sensor is really facilitated by the DASH. Then again, you might be right about the new HUD. It might very well is the referred FLIR viewer.

okay DeepSpace, I have exhausted my resources  . Just received the latest copy of the IAF magazine from my modeling acquaintance. He was kind enough to scan through the article on the F-16I written in Hebrew upon my request to look for an answer. He told me no technical information was mentioned. If you're having a copy. Appreciate if you could share any new information from the article on this forum.
