Bad news. The pilot didn't survive, but was recovered.

I seen something on my local news channel on the crawer. I didn't catch it all but it was something about a plane crash it was either a 15 or 16. They where doin a2a with the Ft worth unit. Anyone heard about this or am i crazy?

For all of them I largely suspect any of the following. Sounds a lot like GLOC, or target fixation, or spatial disorientation/situational awareness.

Air Guard F-15 crashes during training mission

6/27/2007 - SALEM, Ore. (AFPN) -- Coast Guardsmen have recovered the remains of the pilot June 27 of an Oregon Air National Guard F-15 Eagle that crashed June 26 in the Pacific Ocean approximately 35 nautical miles west of Cannon Beach, Oregon, during a training mission.

Officials from the Oregon Air National Guard said the next of kin notifications are being made.

The accident is under investigation by an interim Air Force safety board.
