Don't ask a tech rep or a engineer they say it can not happen in a F-16. I have been on block 10's to 52's and it happens on all of them.

I've never had to troubleshoot that problem personally but it definetley exists. I've been told the problem is in the PDU or an ISA... Evil or Very Mad

Most likely it is a bad ISA

Hi guys,

Looking at the hydraulic system all it "could" be is the ISA or PDU
so that wouldn't be too bad.

I know that changing a left hand ISA on the horizontal can be a B....
them plugs on top are hard to get to you need a person with skinny and long arms.

Never had to fix the problem with the inter flow but did change the ISA.
it's fun after all.

Later Henk

Rickey you goober, they meet in the PDU and ISAs as well. There is an ops check out there for cross servicing, but it has been years since I have done it and don't remember where it was located. I do remember that is was really draw out and long. My experience with cross servicing has always been an ISA.

Instead of talking about T.O.'s try reading previous posts... The whole heat exchanger thing was already addressed. But thanks for adding your 6 years experience anyway... Evil or Very Mad

My jet always cross fed the systems i just figured it was from the ISA's. As a weekender I never was able to get deep enough into it. I guess that's one of the bad things about being a traditional guardsman.

There is a trouble shooting table for this, don't qoute me but check the 29FI. You have to disconnect the hydro lines on one side of each ISA and apply pressure to the opposite sytem, of course, and look at each ISA for leaks. Not 100% if that's all you do, but it's a start.

disconnecting lines and then applying pressure? wow... sounds dangerous and not so smart. even if it is on the opposite system.
