A USAF Thunderbird F-16 made an emergency landing at Quad-City International Airport, near Moline around 14:22h local time with a minor engine malfunction according to the Quad-City Times.
A former 421st Fighter Squadron commander returned to take command of the 388th Fighter Wing in a ceremony Tuesday in Hangar 37.
Approximately 150 members of the 14th FS together with members of a range of support units drawn from the 35th Fighter Wing prepared to return to Misawa AB today after spending about a month away participating in Northern Edge 2009.
The debate over the F-22 has shown that some have no limit to the amount of ignorance they can acquire. Since there are a large amount of people that can’t explain why they want to cancel it or keep it going, finding true clarity is a challenge.
On June 26, 2009, Gen. Norton Schwartz, Air Force Chief of Staff, announced the proposed force structure realignment for Fiscal Year 2010. The prospect of an export version of the F-22 Raptor fighter moved a step closer last week as House lawmakers discussed the possibility of selling the advanced fighter overseas.
