What did they hang onto the outmost underwing stores hardpoint? Are those Python 4s??? Not enough of the tailplanes visible, i'd say! But what IS visible suggests Python 4s! The wingtips missiles are AIM-9 X! Or am i wrong? Phew! The Chileans have gotten themselves one nice package! Late-Block-Fighters, with targeting, JDAMs, Pythons, AIM-9 Xs, most probably with helmet-cueing sights! I'm impressed!

What can I say ... we are not the USAF or Poland, and Chile hasn`t fight a war in more than ... 120+ years, so our defense needs are well meet by this force .... by now, the FACH has the goal of get at least 50 - 60 fighters, most of them will probably be F16.

Unfortunately our government doesn't have the guts to go outside of our small acquisition budget for one year and make a large commitment to fighter purchases. So instead we buy everything at the same time (frigates, subs, planes) and then spread it out over the years. Oh well, at least the civilian government and military are on the same team now!

We bought just 10 f16, for politicians decision, too expensive for us buy new airplaine. For this rezon we`ll buy second hand f16. Most probably Dutch f16, between 20 and 28,

I'm chilean. I am soo happy by a first F-16 C in our air force. Is really incredible and I'am very ansiosus to see 3 groups (squadron) at least with this models or second hand F-16 (like from Netherlands MLU block 20) armed with Phython IV and Derby in AD role.
