USAF F-16C block 30 #87-0269 from the 100th FS is seen with its nose in soft ground after it overran the runway at Oshkosh AP on July 28th, 2011. As can be seen there's obviously a fire in the engine exhaust. [Greenbaypressgazette photo]
Not trying to be mister know it all, but i dont think that is 87-0269. That airframe crashed near hoya, NV on 18 MAY 93.

Looks like the engine is on fire or it's burning off the debris it sucked up into it.

He was either in SEC or his throttle was not at idle. I imagine he sucked up a couple hundred pounds of Wisconsin black mud, thus the complete and catastrophic engine failure.
