I was a crew chief from 84-88 in the Zoo. That was the best time in my career. Great times that I'll never forget.

I was part of the Blue Zoo as well (82-83) as one of their "B-shoppers" or Flight Control Technicians. There was as plaque painted on the AMU(tab-vee) wall and goes something like this:
10th
Pride of the 50th
Defender of the 313th
Envy of the 496th

I was in the 10th AMU from 1982 to 1983, we were called the Blue Zoo. I later took over as the Senior Controller for Maintenance Operations (1983 to 1985). Man, the Zoo was the place to be, we worked hard, we played hard. Good times from so long ago but where is the Blue Tails, I remember having the upper portion of the Tail painted Blue. Nice old photo though..Tsgt.Tom Wharton back in those days!
