466th FS rudder

Note the rudder was taken from a 466th FS jet, wonder if it came from an F-16A/B from AMARC.

Good Jet

This was my jet when I got to Kunsan AB in 1994. I kept her clean and flying good. Cleanest HUD and canopy in the fleet. Got lots of good comments from the pilots. She was a good jet.

85-1402 "NO" .

Great!! All those "NO" Vipers were transferred to the 301 FW / 457 FS "TX" AFRC at NAS Fort Worth JRB in the mid-1990s. They are still flying there today (2006).

Chances are some one is gonna write back and slap me in the face, but isn't this an F-16B not a F-16A? I was under the impression that the two-seaters were designated B and D, and since this was made in '79, it should be a B model part of Block 10.

Eric Nazelrod

I was the last crew chief of 79-0341 Bugs Forsyth was pilot, named, "LETÂ?S ROCK DOC" she carried a painting of Bugs Bunny wearing a sheriff's star and drawn six shooter on the aft inside of the nose gear door. As I recall it was the only F-16 with the 507th (465th TFS) that had art. When I last visited her at AMARC in the late 90Â?s, she was a bare fuselage sitting in cradles but still had the nose gear door. A sad end to a good airplane. No TER, but a LAU-88 triple Maverick launcher. Used rarely in the earlier years of US F-16 operations. Now the single rail LAU-117 is more widely used.

Aircraft was flown to Moody to be the ABDR trainer, was render unflyable by MAT , sat for at least a year then Depot came and dismantled it and trucked it back to Hill. Took only 3 days, seat and gun were put in local supply chain.Saw seat in another jet, still had 380 stenciled on it.

The Lighthouse People

This is Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas. We were just out there a couple of weeks ago photographing the lighthouse which you can see on the lower right hand point of the Fort. It is a black tower perched on the top of the fort. Sandra Shanklin email@thelighthousepeople.com
