It's actualy the 727'th sq. badges, painted on this tail for the 50 years sq anneversery. It just happent to be that specific ac that toured Europa that year for several open houses. It's Thor (old nordic good) throwing his hammer, whits allways hits, and return.

The tail art

On it's tail it says "NOERD" which means geek in Danish. It's a program where they try different technical things.

The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and landed in the grounds of a primary school. The aircraft flew a further ten miles or so and crashed on the outskirts of a village called Necton. I was serving at RAF Marham at the time and had to do overnight crash guard on the wreck. That was a COLD night, I can tell you!

When this photo was added to www.F-16.net it also marked the last picture missing of the Danish F-16´s! In other words, this site am able to show you pictures of all the F-16´s operated by the Danish Air Force. Which air force will be the next to do that? Thanks Michael.

The former taxiway in the foreground is in fact part of an old hard stand disigned for Junckers Ju-88! It was constructed be the Germans during WW-II.

Yes. The picture was made during shut down. Due to bad weather on the shooting range, the aircraft returned with the bombs.
