Should be... ...performing a de-preservation run.. They're starting the engine for the first time since it was "preserved" with oil for long term storage, or shipment. During preservation, fuel to the engine is shut-off while oil is turned-on. The engine runs on oil, displacing the fuel, and purging it from the engine.

This is the tail of the J-230. This is the orginal tail that I painted at Goose-bay and they asked me in 2007 to renovated this tail.The other side of the tail is the cover up version.

These are the new squadron markings as I spoke with a Portugese viper pilot at RIAT who said that I had to take the chance to photograph the aircraft with old markings as they would dissappear soon in favor of these low vis markings...

The 667's tail marking is actually common to all Norwegian F-16, no other Squadron markings at the planes. The reason those other three has squadron markings is because they haven't been to paint shop yet.

The tail logo is actually independent of the Falcon Star and the M3/M4 program. It is applied at paint shop when in phase maintenance at Bodoe MAS in addition to when finished upgrade program.

Anniversary

This picture is taken in Bodoe during celebration of the RNoAF 60th anniversary in 2004. The aircrafts were returning to Bodoe after excercise Nordavind at Banak Air Station at Lakselv.
