photo comment
This photograph was actually taken at ATK in Clearfield Utah. ATK is the supplier of the F-35 carbon fiber wing skins to Lockheed Aero

Not a KC-130J
Look at the prop on the C-130, It's a KC-130R Marine 160627.

nozzle hell
Some comments were made in the F-22 Forum "Windshield tour of Elmendorf" re: intentions to use the rectangular nozzles and some other tricks to eliminate the JSF's rear radar sig issue. I'm "baffled" by this, as the 10-12% loss of thrust would seem to be unacceptable for the F-35. I am commenting on older posts but I think the issue is current.

Tail#?
Most of these F-35 pics have an incorrect tail# in the caption... this one for example is clearly 0746, however, the caption says 7046.

Newport, NY Test Facility
This site has saved millions of research dollars since its development back in the 70's. I bet people are still being startled by low flying jets over the valley.

Tail pipe..
Will be a glaring beacon for Missiles..
No way is is this plane better then the F-22 or Sukhoi 27-37 and up..
I feel sorry for the aircrews who fly this junk in air to air combat...

wrong caption
Actually, that is a photo of the "common" STOVL variant 3 bearing nozzle used on both the F135 and the F136.

X-35
Isn't that the X-35B? Look under the exhaust. Those are the doors which allow the X-35B to pointe it's exhaust down.

View looking aft at Weapon Station 7. Standard configuration for stations 5 & 7 are the AIM-120 C5 or C7 AMRAAM loaded on the NuLAU-120 PNEUMATIC Ejection Launcher.

Dad-n-hisboy
5 years practice and development might have been a help. I'm actually more worried about the faggy colored refueling probe. What's up with that?!?! They have flags in Key West denoting gay bars using a similar color scheme. New meaning to "mile high club"??

"2 hours and 50 minutes" I hope it can keep in the air for a longer time now, 2 hours isn't that long in my opinion :)
