Admin Notes:- Simulated war exercise Highmark-05, started Sept 04 2005 for 1 month. Pakistan Air Force [PAF] deployed F-16s, Mirages, A-5, F-7Ps and other aircraft in 8,200 sorties. Avionics, weapon systems, radars along with manpower skills being put on test during the exercise which was held almost across whole of Pakistan. Highmark-2005 is designed to validate some of the PAF operational concepts and the scenario of the exercise simulates two opposing forces, Blueland and Foxland, each employed in both offensive and defensive operations. The PAF's aircraft:- The American built F-16 would fly in a air-superiority role in both offensive and defensive roles, the French Mirages in an a ground support role, the Chinese A-5's would support the army, while the mainstay would be the Chinese F-7P/PG type of aircraft would be in air defence role. The Pakistan Air Force held its last major exercise in 1995, as later planned exercises were not held due to rapidly changing situation in the region, particularly after Indian and Pakistan's nuclear test in 1998, the 9/11 and the stand off with India in 2002.

Note: This patch is the current issue used crews flying the F-7P. I've been told this was the same design used when the squadron previously flew the F-16.

When I was at Korat last year I noticed that this patch was worn by groundcrews. So, yes, it is original.

This is the first time that I see the RTAF F-16 patch with light gray background instead of blue. Is it really obtained from RTAF shops?

19th Fighter Wing is based at Chungju Air Base. 155 (F-16C/D), 159 (F-16C/D), 161 (KF-16C/D) & 162 (KF-16C/D) Sqns are all part of this Wing. Also notice the small spelling mistake! We have a 'Flghting Falcon' as opposed to a 'Fighting Falcon'. The same spelling mistake can be seen in the photos of the patch on the uniform which is located in the Uploads --> Misc: Pictures/Zaps/Logo's gallery.

This patch has been previously posted by Saeed Ahmed Siddique. I added this patch to show what a original patch from the General Dynamics Factory (Fort Worth) looks like. Quality of production can be seen by the embroidery and text stitching and marginal difference in the design. A patch made the good old fashion way!
