Comments from patchman: Pilots who come from Thessaloniki the capital city of Macedonia in northern Greece wear this patch. The Vergina sun (a sympol found on the grave of King Fillipos the father of Alexander the Great) and the White Tower (a landmark of the city of Thesaloniki) are depicted on the patch.Actually pilots from other Hellenic Air Force's sqns are wearing this particular patch.

Exercise Joint Caribbean Lion 2006
Over the period 23 May to 16 June Exercise Joint Caribbean Lion 2006 (JCL 06) was conducted by the Netherlands. Six F-16 fighter planes were stationed at Curaao's Hato field.
The purpose of the exercise was to assemble and mobilize an expeditionary military force which consists of all parts of the Dutch defense forces; the Royal Netherlands Navy, Air Force, Army and Military Police (Joint), and which is supplemented with international participants (Combined), in order to react to a crisis in an out of area environment.

343 M crewchief inspector
This patch was made by KENTORAMA (sole source of this patch). The very first of its kind.Other patches of similar design were ordered and made for other F-16 sqns technicians(many specialities).Sole manufacturer of these other patches (as shown in other sections) is SPORTLINE.
Posted by patchman on Fri 29 Jun 2007 10:28:02 PM CEST
Be informed that this particular design was made by A.P.S. HIGHLANDER and KENTORAMA.If you find this patch made by other manufacturer, that is a repro(can be easily identified by its poor quality) as it is the case with several other patches(not only F-16 related)

Comments from patchman: Another football related patch, this time from Olympiakos football team fans. Ordered by F-16C Blk 52+ pilots assigned at 115 C.W.Keep in mind that it was manufactured only by Kentorama.
Posted by Asif on Thu 31 May 2007 12:12:39 PM CEST
The very first version of this patch was made by A.P.S.,it has more stars in the sky.The second version ordered has less stars(as shown) and it was first ordered by A.P.S. and later by Highlander.Sportline never received any order, nevertheless they produced this patch (poor quality repro) in order to sell it to collectors,be carefull!!
Posted by patchman on Sat 26 May 2007 05:57:39 PM CEST
This patch shown was not manufactured by Highlander(he has actually made a much better version of this patch). It's poor quality indicates that it was made by Sportline!

Dianus Weapons & Tactics
Comments from Paul DeOude:- What I read about 'Dianus' is that in the 50's the Weapon Instructors got together and made a QWI 'society'.
Since most instructor were from 323 'Diana' Sqn, they called this society 'Dianus'. If anyone (especially from 323 Sqn) knows more, please add.
