USAF F-16C block 40 #88-0515 from the 69th TFS is seen transient at Luke AFB in December of 1990. Note the gloss black MLG wheels. All F-16s were delivered from the factory (at that time) with black MLG wheels to help dissipate heat. Units did not like the appearance of the black wheels and they were painted white, and sometimes silver by them in the field. [Photo by Kevin Patrick]
