USAF F-16C block 40 #90-0714 from the 18th FS photographed in 1991 at Eielson AFB. It was one of the first F-16s the unit received. Based on the Elmendorf F-15 tail flashes, someone decided it would look good to introduce a similar Alaska State flash on our F-16s. This is the only aircraft to receive this painting and had to be removed because some General did not want us to 'look like the Air National Guard.' [Photo by SMSgt. Ziegler]
