RDAF F-16AM #E-610 from Esk. 726 is sitting beside the taxiway at Aalborg AB on February 2nd, 2000. While under tow trough the Esk. 723 area the tow-bar disengaged from the truck, resulting in the nosewheel to turn sharply to the right. After leaving the concrete, the nosewheel dipped into the soft ground. The aircraft suffered only minor damage. Note the aircraft is defuelled before recovery. [Photo by Erik Frikke]

Nose-wheel collapsed after the towbar disengaged and the gear dropped into the sand besides the taxiway at Aalborg AB. Damage was minor and the aircraft was repaired quickly.
