During Deset Storm, January 1990, this aircraft unofficially transfered to the 23rd TFS, and I crewed it during the war. It got one of the first Iraqi SAM kills for the 23rd in which I have one arming ket for the AGM-88, and the pilot has the other, who was at the time Captain Bruce Wright.

    Crew Chief 85-1552

When 85-1552 first entered service at Spangdahlem AB Germany (1986 or 1987?) I was the 1st assigned assistant Crew Chief on the jet. The First Crew Chief was a female SGT Nancy Fisher.

A Few months later I was given the Crew Chief Status and the assistant Crew Chief was Carl Denton. I personally remember stencil painting Carl's and my name on the right side canopy.

I wasn't Crew Chief of the jet very long when I Seperated from the service.

I was proud to be a crew chief on the 52nd TFW "Wing Jet" as can be seen by the three colors (Blue, Yellow, Red) which represented the Three Squadrons at Spangdahlem.
