'Factory fresh' USAF F-16D block 42 of the 312th TFTS at Luke AFB shortly after acceptance by the USAF. The elastomeric coating on the F-16 radome weathered easily, so all AF units fabricated these nose covers to protect this coating. The pitot tube cover was velcroed on to the nose cover.
