Salute!

Caught this and am linking for your pleasure.

I can tellya from actual combat missions such as we see in Red Flag that the costs for the "supporting cast" of players are huge. During Linebacker II our SLUF bombtrucks did not require refueling from Korat to reach Hanoi or 90% of South Vietnam. So imagine the costs of the maintenance and logistics of the tankers, not to mention the coordination for an Alpha strike up north. So the Stubbies won't likely need refuelers, nor ECM support nor significant MIGCAP/sweep.

Thanks for posting Gums!

When bean counters meet Tacair...
Take an F-16, stir in A-7, dollop of F-117, gob of F-22, dash of F/A-18, sprinkle with AV-8B, stir well + bake. Whaddya get? F-35.

Indeed a very spot on article (IMO at least), thanks for sharing the article Gums! :thumb:
A 4th/4.5th gen fighter aircraft stands about as much chance against a F-35 as a guns-only Sabre has against a Viper.
