Back at Luke?

Excellent. Helped reopen the unit in 1986...the fun part was finding the core of the WWII unit and reengaging. Our assumption of command had a P-40 and an F-16 nose to nose and one of the vets still fit into his pink and greens handed over the flag to our CO, Ace.

That was great, but the open mic at the post-party was priceless. Where else are you going to hear about hypoxic monkeys doing loops inside the cockpit during a ferry mission...bad ending for the monkey. First combat mission was the CO and three flight commanders as blue 4s with the 20FG...two got shot down. CO walked back a week later, but the other KIA. Fuuny with sober reality.

Mind you RTU flying was a six ride conversion purgatory (A model to C fam) for a year, but got to know the APG86 inside out.

Are they going to looking to hire any F16 techs at Holloman? I was assigned there from 94-99... it wasn't as bad as most people made it sound!

Luke and Holloman, either is semi correct depending on your view, although really Holloman is most correct. The physical location is Holloman, but it's an extension from Luke. Holloman is just a tenant location of the 54th. Tail codes will remain LF, for Luke Falcons.

I would imagine so and keep in mind that it is highly likely the 312th FS will also activate at to Holloman.

I believe that Holloman won`t have more than the 2 squadrons that are already there...the 311th and the 314th (unfortunately).....!
