Nah... Not really. Just me doing a bit of quick photochopping, just to see what a 2-seater might look like.

Be nice if they did have a two seater so incentive rides could be given. I remember reading in I think Popular Mechanics about 6 years ago about an article of a two seat Raptor that would take over the role of the Strike Eagle and have a Nav in the back and a larger wingspan. Seemed pretty cool at the time and I still think it would be bad @$$ if they went in that direction.

Looks slick with an axpanded cockpit, like the Su-30 series.

Nice job on the Photoshop - you realize that in 36 hours it's going to be around the world on the internet?!? Should be fun to watch everyone wondering if it is real...

Not a reflection of the Pshop quality but a 2-seater F-22 looks like the rest of the current /new generation of 2-seaters - U-G-L-Y. With the exception of the Tomcat (designed for it from the outset) the -teens, Flanker, Fulcrum, Typhoon, Rafale, F-22 (there was one planned), etc. all look like they have massive tumors on them IMO. It's the single giant bubble that bugs me. The F-105C would have had that problem (had it been built) but the F's and G's looked nice with their seperate cockpits.

If you ever sat in the backseat of an F-105F, I think you would have preferred the proposed C (2 seat B trainer) or E (2 seat D trainer), at least from the inside. Maybe they didn’t look as good from the outside, but at least you could see outside.

If you weren’t claustrophobic prior to getting in the back seat of an F, you could sure develop the condition if you thought about it long enough. The rear cockpit was effectively both a neck brace & blindfold. Kind of a flying MRI.

Landing the F from the backseat was a prohibited maneuver. Those bulbous canopies allow the instructor to see enough to land from the back-seat like the F-100F or F-16. The C & E were set up for that but never built.

It’s more fun and less noisy to check out in an airplane that doesn’t have a 2-seat trainer (with annoying instructor) version anyway. I’m sure the F-22 guys/gals appreciate this perk.

Is there any way to see uploaded images at full-size? The picture looks a little low-resolution.

Nice one. Now just 'shop' about a 6' stretch in the airframe, added delta wings and enlarged bays.

That concept should save about $20 billion in 2018 bomber costs and perhaps another $15b savings in futureTanker order reduction!

Barely distingishable from the one seater. Most fighters would look goofy with a side by side seat but the F-111 IMO is my fav configured 2 seat fighter. If your co-pilot gets outta hand, backhand em'

I know. :D I was talking purely about aesthetics. (How'd you like to be the #2 or 3 guy in a B-58? They basically had lids. )

How about a two seat F-35??? Clearly, considering the projected numbers likely to be built. A much more promising prospect...........
