I see F-22A 2D-vectoring as primarily the tool for increasing high-altitude agility, stability and recovery, and for optimizing trim by reducing or eliminating trim surface deflections at lower fuel-burn speeds at the highest achievable altitudes while maintaining solid stability. I see the Russian TVC as intended to do much the same thing but able to deflect for yaw as well.

DOJO is the F-35A USAF Display Pilot in the F-35 Display Team. Are there others? We don't hear about them so DOJO it is.

F-35 demo team returns to Canada this fall as fighter jet makers jockey for position
30 Jul 2019 Murray Brewster CBC News

"The U.S. Air Force F-35 demonstration team will visit Ottawa in September on the eve of this fall's federal election — just as the competition to replace Canada's aging CF-18s starts heating up....

...Earlier this summer, the Department of National Defence caused a stir by allowing the Lockheed Martin-built jet to take part in an airshow at the RCAF's principal fighter base in Eastern Canada in Bagotville, Que. The Aero Gatineau-Ottawa air show will host the jet Sept. 6-8 in the nation's capital. The other competitors to replace the CF-18s — the Boeing Super Hornet, Airbus Military's Eurofighter Typhoon and Saab's Gripen — are not part of the air show's program....

...The Trump administration had threatened to pull the stealth jet out of the competition...." [QUE as in WUT!?!]

The INVERTED TO INVERTED ROLL, AKA “I to I”. Interesting note: the flight controls are smart enough to reverse camber themselves meaning the leading and trailing edge flaps go UP to meet the airflow during this maneuver!
Sustaining inverted flight at 500’ and 400KCAS is one of my favorite parts of the demo and also one of the most unusual. Typically, jets don’t “push” negative Gs. The human body doesn’t tolerate it well and therefore jets aren’t designed to do it. During both of the inverted portions of this maneuver, which are separated by a nearly zero G aileron roll in between, my body is hanging in the straps. We’ve all felt that before, hanging upside down off the bed or the monkey bars as kids and feeling the all blood rush to your head. That’s exactly what’s happening here.
The key to the maneuver is rolling out at the exact right moment and then “stabbing” the stick forward to catch sustained, inverted, -1G flight all while hanging upside down and watching the world zoom by. Pretty fun!

Thunderbirds, F-35As, Blue Angels, Red Arrows to Fly Together Over Hudson River
19 Aug 2019 Jennifer-Leigh Oprihory

"...the event, which will kick off around 9:30 a.m., according to an Aug. 16 release. The parade was made possible by a stroke of scheduling luck, since the three demonstration teams are all conducting demonstrations in the New York area on Aug. 24-25.

The aircraft will follow the river to Liberty Island before returning back up the river. The Thunderbirds will then return to Rochester International Airport, with the other aircraft flying to Stewart Airport.

I wish I could make it down to NYC to see that. Luckily, I get to see my first Lightning demo on Saturday and watch them put all the others to shame.

It's a shame 'Miracle on the Hudson' is already taken. 'Stroke of Scheduling Luck on the Hudson' just doesn't have the same panache. Maybe, 'the Redcoats, erm Red Arrows are coming, the Red Arrows are coming'.

Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark, Teterboro + all the Helos....the FAA's going to be extra busy at 0930.

Was watching this video and heard the shriek and then zoom of a classic Hornet streak by. Stopping the video as best I could on the initial frame of the plane's entrance, I then saved it to file. Attached is the result. He was low! Lol!

(this being posted as a stretch of 'and Airshows')
