Russia develops stealth defense for warships

If you feel you absolutely must talk about cars, morality, or anything else not related to the F-16, do it here.

Looks like its Su-33s are only carrying 4 AAMs each (2 R-27s and 2 R-37s). Probably can't take off with a heavier load than that.

I don't think they've ever been seen taking off with more than 4 AAMs.

That is infinitely more than they were carrying when we intercepted and escorted them a couple years ago. Good on them I suppose.

I stand corrected: back in 2008 2 of them were paraded on top of the carrier with a full compliment of missiles. Although, none have been seen taking off with anything approaching this load.

That being said, we can now see the first examples of Russia's 5-th generation radar blockers applied to the Su-33. F-22 is now in trouble. Won't be able to detect it on radar at all!

I swear that looks like the steel matting I used to fence in my dogs. :D

Hey now, it's not polite to call the Russian sailors dogs. They only urinate outside because all the latrines aboard the ship are broken.

Looks like Russia's little propaganda stunt isn't going so well. Didn't take long for planes to start crashing:

I suspect soon enough, if they really are going to be going into the fight in Syria, they'll probably transfer Kuznetsov's planes to Latakia rather than keep flying them from the carrier.

well, the second hit at least a building. I seriously doubt that it was supposed to hit the small building instead of the big one, but hey, it's a building!

I see them as a cheap demolishing company destroying old and abandoned installations.

Nothing in sight, not a person, not a car, nothing, absolutely nothing.

That particular target apparently has been bombed several times (you can even see craters nearby the buildings in the video) and apparently there has been no activity on that site for months. So it does appear to be just an empty building. Russian intel isn't the best.
