This very informative F-35 poster is created by Bob Cox and Steve Wilson of Fort Worth´s "Star-Telegram". It was published on July 8, 2006, with the news article "DAY OF THUNDER. F-35 unveiled with flash, but uncertainty clouds future".

Found this nice poster of the F-35's weapon inventory in the latest issue of Code One Magazine in the article "Lightning Strike 2020" which describes the Lightning II's CAS capabilities. It's similar to the DFW poster but has a nice CGI background of F-35's in flight.

Does anybody know if the IRIS t missile fits internally in the F-35?

Well, fit it will. The fin span is 447mm (exactly the same as AIM-120C/D). Somehow I have a feeling this may not be co-incidence. However, internal carriage on the F-35 has two pre-requisites -- Lock-on after launch capability, and ejector launch capability. The missile should be LoAL or the HOBS capability cannot be exploited because the doors and the belly positions limits field of view. The internal bays -- including the door AAM position has no missile rails or the ability to take missile rails. All weapons have to be ejector launched. The AMRAAM and ASRAAM are ejector capable. I don't think the current AIM-9X is. Not sure about the IRIS-T. However, interface modifications to permit vertical ejection release shouldn't be a huge engineering challenge. It really comes down to weather the user and/or the missile manufacturer wants to have it integrated for the F-35's internal bay. If they want to, its no big deal. But if there is no request or demand, it may not happen.
