Very cool, I like the engine/fan stand next to the aircraft. Thanks for sharing them!

Do they make these models completely out of cardboard or use some other materials.

This plane actually flew here to Miramar by a navy test pilot the Lockheed representitive said this is 3rd plane of the test J 35 series, and said somthing about this is a mix of F-35 and J-35 he said he couldn't say more about it, but it has the AF Landing gear and Engine set up right now but the Marine corps navy front ,they have an under nose intake version as well but somthing about funding i don't know, he was talking way over my head and it will have landing gear similar to the F-18, the Marine Version will have the Vstol engine that was trucked in, on the side of the pic ,Pratt and whitney makes it.. I tried to get More info but there was a crap load of pilots and civi's bombarding the pilot and the Tech Dude. I wish I had more to offer you

Some of the USMC versions will have a VSTOL rear Exaust Nozzle.

You've been fed a line of PR crap...

The two X-35 JSF demonstrators are grounded, and first flight of an SDD (System Development and Demonstration) bird is not even scheduled until late next year. What you saw at the show was a non-flying mockup. Besides, test birds don't wear markings of operational units.

Doesn't seem to be much security round it. Usually you can't stay that long watching an making pictures of a test bird. Is it because this is a fake JSF?
