Nice shot ... other than Dawgs the best jobs in aviation has to be Pilot and Photogs

I've been meaning to ask this - What is the white coloring on the F-35 for?

I thought it had something to do with fuel tests? The white parts turn red (pink) if contact with the fuel is made, which I believe dumps from the left wing.
