BF-1 First Flight BAE Systems test pilot Graham Tomlinson
Currently all the aircraft listed above are under construction in one phase or another. Other Aircraft that have been completed or that are in production include
F-35B BG-1 For Ground Testing - Completed
F-35C CG-1 under construction
F-35A AG-1 Under Contruction
There is currently another aircraft with the designation of AJ-1 that is under construction but not real sure who that one belongs to.
This wasnt much but I hope its a start

It was the X-35A that was modified to X-35C. The X-35B was a separate build. Steve Pace

I'm pretty sure it was the A that was converted to the B. The C was the separate airframe with it's larger wings, et.al.

It was indeed the X-35A that was modified to X-35C CV after its CTOL demonstration flights.

I'm not meaning to argue, but no, it was the A that was converted to the B while the C was a separate air vehicle.
From JSF.mil's history section:
The X-35A (aircraft 301) made its last flight to Palmdale, where it immediately began conversion to the X-35B STOVL variant. The flight LiftFan 3D had just arrived at Pratt & Whitney for acceptance testing from Rolls Royce North America.

Yup, that's why I never updated it. Although it would seem logical for the A to convert so easily into a C, as the B would seem to be a more difficult modification. Check out this official Lockheed-Martin photo and caption showing conversion of the X-35A to the X-35B:

I stand corrected: After close examination of all X-35 airplanes I see that the LM serial number 300 appears on the X-35C and 301 appears on both the X-35A and X-35B. I wrote two articles on the JSF program and wrongly reported in each one that the X-35A became the X-35C... Oops!

Jon,
Adding the test pilots' names for the X-35 first flights:
X-35A: Tom Morgenfeld. X-35B: Simon Hargreaves (vertical take-off). X-35C: Joe Sweeney.
I understand that since neither these aircraft nor the prototype F-35s will be delivered to service, they have not been allocated USAF serial or USN BuNos. They don't appear to have FAA N-numbers either (in contrast to the YF-22s, which flew as N22YF and N22YX).
